5 tips to be more efficient in exams
We are only thinking about the Christmas holidays, the return home and the lunches and dinners with our family and friends, but immediately after, the dreaded exams arrive.
Two or three long weeks in January or February will depend on your university or study centre, in which you will be evaluated and the ability you have had to learn, reflect and apply what you have worked on in the last months in the different subjects of your first university semester will be put to the test.
Although we explained to you months ago how to succeed in exams, and what was most repeated in that article was the constancy and organization during the week, so as not to have to make a superhuman effort the days before, it is true that those days of exams are days of stress for you, whether you have been constant during the course or not, because as at any time when there is something to show, there are nerves, anguish and even anxiety.
If you want these last three states, have nothing to do with you, apply these basic tips from today until the first day of examination, yes, take a week off at Christmas.
Plan the remaining weeks before the first exam:
It's the key to everything going well. Classify and prepare the study material for each subject, review the notes and select the material with which you are going to prepare the exam and schedule the hours of study you are going to dedicate to it.
Make sure that you have completed all the exercises, that you have a clear bibliography to consult and consult your classmates in your student residence in Barcelona who coincide with you in the classes.
Prepare your space
The study space must be spacious, well-lit, quiet and of course, orderly, this is something we take into account when designing student rooms in our student residence in Barcelona.
Avoid distracting elements such as television or spotify. If you forget your mobile, nothing happens either!
Healthy habits
Although having Christmas just before the weeks of exams does not help us get a healthy and varied diet, take advantage of the days not marked, to eat lots of fruit and vegetables, avoiding carbohydrates and sugar.
Exercise, even if it's a 30-minute walk to clear your mind.
Fulfill to the letter the hours of rest, many students have done that of not spending all night studying, and not sleeping, or sleep a couple of hours, is a big mistake.
Maintain a positive attitude
Look for small moments of disconnection and relaxation, in the study breaks, and maintain a positive attitude, calm and face these weeks with maturity and serenity. Don't let nerves and negative thoughts play tricks on you.
Good luck!
