The beaches of Barcelona
Barcelona beaches occupy 4 kilometers from the coast of the city. They are not beautiful beaches of white sand but at the end of a day of study can take a dip, sunbathe or just relax overlooking the sea, just 15 minutes away from your dorm, without leaving the city.
All are very similar and their common feature is that they are fully equipped and have all the cleaning and security, but our recommendation is that you never leave your things unattended, as the rate of theft, remains high on the beaches .

Playa de Sant Sebastia: It is the oldest of the city, from the private area of the Hotel W until the beginning of Barceloneta neighborhood. Being the oldest population is where local people go, but there are also a large number of foreigners. Right in the middle of the beach is located “Barceloneta Athletic Swimming Club” with hammocks, boats, swimming pools, tennis courts, etc that can be used becoming a member. On this beach, you can find some people practicing nudism.
Sant Miquel: As the beach is at the end of Paseo Juan de Borbon, where the Barceloneta metro (L4) is, the beach is full of foreign tourists. They are 400 meters from the beach and its name comes from the Church of Sant Miquel del Mar located in the neighborhood of Barceloneta heart.
Barceloneta and Somorrostro: It is the best known and therefore the most crowded, it is also the best connected and that more services have. It has access for the disabled, with a leisure area with a ping-pong and gymnastics area, 3 tennis beach volleyball and in it find the Beach Centre, that is an area of revitalization where you find guides beach, library and a large number of activities for most of the year, but especially between the months of June and September. Nova Icària: The beach of practicing beach volleyball, you will find many people enjoying games; It is also a very quiet beach with many families, the marina that is on your right if you look at the sea, and the pier on the left has cement hammocks that although they seem uncomfortable, we encourage you to try and change your mind.
Bogatell, Mar Bella and Nova Mar Bella: these 3 beaches were recovered on the Olympic Games’ 92 and are located on the coast of Poble Nou neighborhood. They are quiet beaches, frequented by young people because they have children's play areas, space for skateboarding, volleyball courts, a water sports and space for nudists.
Llevant: is one of the newest beaches along the coast, recently recovered . It is the most used by people who go there with your own vehicle due to the large parking areas . It is small and very quiet.
Forum: is no sand beach of the city, a swimming pool with sea water. It has toilets, showers and beach bars; if you are someone who cannot stand the sand, this is your beach.
