Eat well and cook a little

11-11-2016

Pizza aubergine and “fuet” , we can call it the Catalan pizza.

Who does not like pizza? The pizza is a universal food, in almost all parts of the world, even where you cannot imagine, you can find a place to eat a pizza. It is a traditional recipe that also we all like, but not all are equally rich pizzas. Therefore, our recommendation is that you learn to make your own pizzas and you can invite your friends to your student flat in Barcelona to taste them.

To begin, we will propose a recipe with an ingredient of the earth: “Fuet” it is very important you approach a butcher shop in the neighborhood and ask a good Catalan fuet, you can also find at your local supermarket, in the section of sausage, sure there is a niche for Catalan products. The better the main ingredient, the better the taste of your pizza. This type of pizza you love, if you like sausage and cheese, and although it is nutritious and healthy, it clearly has a high level of fat, but occasionally, nothing happens!

Hands to flour!

INGREDIENTS: 4 pizza crust (if home much better), fried tomato sauce, 1 large aubergine, 80 grams grated Emmentaler cheese, 160 grams approx. fuet, 100-150 grams of grated mozzarella and Parmesan cheese (optional)

Once you have prepared pizza crust (Do not know? Let us know and we will send you the recipe) and have a finite mass and with the right size to eat all the friends you've invited your student flat in Barcelona, just put it on a flat surface or directly remove the pan from the oven and place here, and you avoid having to juggle later to get it inside.

First will cut the aubergine into thin slices and salt in order to lose the bitter taste.    Now add, depending on the size a few tablespoons of tomato sauce and spread it from the center to the edges with the spoon itself. Then add the grated mozzarella all over the base, and place the aubergine slices on top. On the aubergine adds Emmental cheese into thin slices and grated Parmesan cheese.

Now you can put the pizza in a preheated oven at 220-240º C. When the crust is crispy and the pizza is golden brown will be more or less than 20 minutes, remove to the oven and add thin slices across the surface of fuet and READY!

You have made a pizza in true Catalan style!

BON APETIT!
