Are you a hardcore movie buff studying in Barcelona?

If you are passionate about sports and cinema, this is your week in Barcelona. For the eighth consecutive year, the best sports cinema is projected at BCN Sports Film.

The festival includes the best sample of documentaries and films about the sport in nine official spaces of the city, such as: the Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sports Museum and the Cultural Corner Room of El Corte Inglés in Portal del Ángel, and another seven places more  this year, as the Can Castellet cinemas of Sant Boi de Llobregat, the Sant Martí Auditorium, the Cívic Fort Pienc Center, the Elizalde Cultural Center, the Cinemes Girona, the Ponent Library of Sabadell and the Library Districte 5 of Terrassa. As a curiosity, one more year, one of our programming of the festival will be exhibited in the Penitentiary Centers of Catalonia.

Sport is increasingly present in our lives and there are many ways to approach it. The most common is practicing it, the healthiest, do it frequently and consistently, although perhaps you are one of those who comes to him in the most widespread way that is watching on television ...
You approach him in one way or another, now, you have the opportunity to do it in a different way than usual, which is reading it, commenting or watching it in a projection room. Each year there are a large number of films inspired by different sports, passionate audiovisual works that bring us closer to unpopular disciplines, and that whatever their format, they help us to have new visions on the practice and the diffusion of the sport. This week, these works are projected in Barcelona during the BCN Sports Film festival.

The selection for this eighth edition is so great that it will spread throughout the week, a total of seven days of projections, where you can see works on the trampoline, boxing, Korean fighting, petanque, marathon, triathlon , Rugby or castellers. The high-intensity short films format predominates but there are also important films about actor Steve McQueen and the engine, or "The Fischer Case", which is about the most important final in the history of the chess world.
