The student university residence is located in an excellent and central area of Barcelona, just 100 meters away from the Sagrada Familia church, in the l’Eixample neighborhood.

The residence offers excellent connections with the public transit network: subway lines 2 and 5, and plenty bus lines.

Considering the fantastic location of barcelona residencias, right in the center of the city, we recommend to visit the Sagrada Familia Temple, designed by Antoni Gaudí, and declared World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

Please take your time to stroll around the Eixample (urban expansion area), one of the most emblematic neighborhoods in Barcelona, designed by engineer Ildefonso Cerdá.

Just a few blocks away from the residence we can find the Avenida Diagonal (Diagonal Avenue), which crosses the map of the city obliquely, eastward. This classic avenue is lined with some of Cataluña’s most representative buildings, from both a historic, and an architectural point of view, such as Can Terrades mansion, a neo-gothic building - also known as Casa de les Punxes because of its sharply pointed gables and towers - and the Quadres palace, designed by Puig I Cadafalch in 1906, where the Music Museum is currently located.

A large portion of this avenue is currently devoted to commerce: there we can find large department stores, shopping arcades, shopping centers, and stores from some of the world’s most prestigious brands. The avenue also accommodates plenty of restaurants and cafeterias, official entities, and prominent companies.

Another area worthy of attention is the Gràcia neighborhood, which was an independent town until the late 19th century. This zone is popular among artists and bohemian crowds. It is inhabited by a diversity of cultural ethnicities, and concentrates a large number of international restaurants. The most popular site in this neighborhood is the Plaça de Sol.
