Tips for studying during the Christmas holidays
Christmas, especially for students, is one of the most beautiful times of the year. A long holiday, time to go home, lots of family lunches and dinners, meetings with your old friends and presents, isn't it perfect? However, it's not all about holidays for university students, for whom Christmas is a time to study for their first semester exams, which are usually scheduled at the end of January.
Students who are living in a university residence hall in Barcelona during the course, usually return to their hometowns at this time, and as we mentioned earlier, they combine their return home with hours of study to be more efficient for the January exams. A good organization will allow you to have time for everything and enjoy the family and friends. Do you want to know how to do it? Keep reading!
Tips for studying during Christmas holidays
We should start organizing the days before the Christmas holidays, making sure that we have all the complete notes and the necessary documentation to just have to study, so that when we sit down to it, we have everything ready. We recommend that you devote the first fortnight of December to compiling everything and studying as much as possible. The less material we have to study during Christmas, the better we will be able to combine everything.
It is also important to leave all the work that we have to hand in as the Christmas holidays should be dedicated only to study and, if we also have to worry about doing work, it will be very difficult to combine leisure and study.
To ensure that you devote the necessary time to study, draw up a calendar to establish which subjects you will study each day and for how long. This way we will be aware of the real time we have for each subject.
If at your parents' house, you no longer have a good place to study and concentrate like in your student residence in Barcelona, go to the nearest library or study room; in the library we will be free of distractions and we will be able to relax on the way there and back. If you get up early, you will make the most of the day, as in the evenings it will be more difficult to take time away from your friends or family. When it's time to study, visit a library or study room. Don't stay at home, get up early and take advantage of the mornings as much as you can, because in the afternoons you are more likely to spend time with your family and friends.
Although we know it is complicated, avoid heavy meals. Remember that you can go out at night and enjoy the party, but also, that rest is very important, so keep this in mind when consuming real hours of study that this will take away from you.
Don't forget that Christmas is a time to enjoy and disconnect. It's important to know how to set aside certain moments to put aside study and exams, relax and have fun.
If we get organized, we'll have time for everything these days! HAPPY CHRISTMAS!
